Did you know that wine tasting & floral design go hand-in-hand?

I learned that this weekend as Pam Bell from Dragonfly Floral patiently coached a group of twenty visitors through the design of a Mother’s Day bouquet, while Pete from Notre Vue Estate refilled our wine glasses with exquisite tastings of Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc, and a white blend. 

Sitting on the tasting deck, overlooking the pond swimming with geese and goslings, we learned how to trim, set, and arrange our flowers.

What a night! We celebrated Valentine’s Day with a night of romantically inspired dishes paired with our Estate wines, prepared by renowned  Chef Austin Perkins.

At Renee’s we are carrying our decorating tips of textures of layering white, into our spring floral arrangement.  We have gone with a vibrant color scheme of white, soft greens and pops of yellow. 

White has a bad rap!  It’s thought to be stark and boring.  That is far from the truth!  White can be very inviting and warm when added in with different hues and tones, in the same color family. 

Jingle bells rock the table in an upbeat, elegant fashion! Breaking from the traditional red and green décor, this season we went with textures of silver and gold against a soft, snowy-white tablecloth. 

Carrying our “Jewels of the Season” from the tabletop to our holiday decorations we have again limited our color palette, creating a dazzling, yet calming ambiance to enjoy your holiday celebrations in! 

I attended the Trade Fair in Paris, Maison et Objet. This is an interior design show to showcase creativity in its purest state.
