Mashtini Bar Party

The chill is still in the air, and we have a few more weeks of winter parties to enjoy!

We had an event up at Windsor Oaks Vineyards and Winery recently. With all the wine tastings going on I thought a Mashtini Bar was the perfect fit.

Our guests were having great fun filling their martini glasses and sharing their creations. For our event I rented dozens of martini glasses, for a smaller crowd you can pick up plastic glasses at your local party store to keep down your costs and keep things simple.

Just make sure you get the ones that have the base glued on, the others just fall right off!

Lets start off with your supplies for the party, you will need:

Martini Glasses
Large Martini glasses for display
Chafing dish to keep potatoes warm
Ramekins or extra martini glasses for toppings
Serving spoons, tongs and individual spoons
Small ladle for sauces
Yukon Creamy Mashed Potatoes
You can create different themed Mashtinis; here are a few ideas to get you started.  You start with Yukon creamy mashed potatoes for each theme.

Mediterranean Mashtini

Grilled Marinated Chicken
Sun-Dried tomatoes
Basil Pesto Sauce
Marinated Artichokes
Parmesan Crisps or cheese
Crispy Prosciutto

Mid Winter Mashtini

Cubed butternut or acorn squash
Zucchini
Olive Oil
Kalamata Olives
Capers
Basil and Parsley
Parmesan Cheese or your cheese of choice

American

Diced Turkey, Ham and or pulled pork
Crumbled Bacon
Shredded Cheddar
Goat Cheese
Broccoli Florets
Brown Gravy
Green onions

The list goes on -Southwestern, French and more!

Be creative and have fun!

Best part of the party?

All you need to do is make sure the toppings are replenished, which by the way, should all be chopped, shredded and ready to go.
